With passion and pride you can see it in our eyes
We'll go for the gold and reach for the skies
The stars of the show, you know we can fly
The true stars of U.N.I.T.Y!

The Unity Superstars are England's first ever competitive cheeleading squad for young people with a range of learning, sensory or physical disabilities. Set up and coached by Amee Garala, a member of the Allstars for the past two years, Amee has since taken the decision to leave the senior squad in order to pursue her dream of providing the opportunity to cheerlead to those who might otherwise not get the chance. Amee has also cheered with Loughborough Goldrush and Revolution and competed successfully in numerous Partner Stunt competitions with Ant Ridgway, now a coach with Spirit Allstars in Connecticut, USA. Amee has always made a point to give up her own time in order to do volunteer work with the local community no matter where she has been based and the Superstars are the next step for her ambitions.

Amee, having put in hours of training and committed a large amount of her own free time to organising her involvement, successfully completed the Great Eastern Run (a half marathon) in a time of 2h, 1m, 21s. She ran the race on behalf of the Superstars in an effort to raise money for uniforms, travel, equipment and accomodation costs for competitions during the 2008/09 season, which she earned to the tune of £600. Kits have now been purchased in time for the Future Cheer Heart of England competition in February. Any additional donations towards the squad would be gratefully received and can be submitted at www.giftshare.com/UnitySuperstars

The Superstars would also like to thank Hereward FM Radio, the Peterborough local radio station, for the use of their facilities in order to record their cheer professionaly.
